Snake Tong

This is the most humane and effective reptile handling tong available. It can be used as an extension to your arm for just about anything. This state of the art, light weight tool is designed to give maximum holding pressure with minimal risk. The 500 lbs breaking strength stainless steel cable and stainless steel jaw spring are concealed within the aluminum tong and will not come into contact with or harm the reptile. The tong has a gentle but firm pistol grip designed for one hand operation. Tong jaws are rubber dipped to provide even less trauma to the animal.

• Standard Tongs are now available with “Super Tube” option. These are twice as thick as the standard aluminum tube, with a .090 wall thickness and a beautiful dark green anodized finish. Super tube tongs will hold up against the most severe use.
• Locking tong jaws are available for all tongs with “Super Tube” option. The lock can be engaged or disengage with a simple flip of a pin. This feature allows handlers to restrain animals with less effort. Once restrained and locked, handlers can set the tong down and use both hands to perform other tasks.
• Rubber cushions are available for tong jaws to create an even more gentle grip.
